Escape to the idyllic Cambridgeshire countryside at The Three Pickerels. To stay, dine and drink in our family run riverside hotel, restaurant and bar.

Had a lovely 2-night stay here in Room 1, which had a fantastic west facing balcony. Bathroom was very nice and we loved the room decor. Bed was a bit soft and bouncy for our personal taste, but was not old or worn, just a softer style mattress than our preference. Service was lovely and friendly and we had dinner there both nights and thought the food was great. The wine list was really excellent. Plentiful free parking, easy 15 minute drive to Ely.

We had a lovely roast beef dinner here today. Nice pub,  friendly attentive staff. Shame we were passing through, but would highly recommend.

We happened upon the Three Pickerels by a lucky accident. We’d been let down by another bed and breakfast so looked elsewhere and found this gem. The booking process was easy and they were very quick to answer my email.

We had a meal here one-weekday lunchtime, overlooking the river. The place is lovely and picturesque, the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed the good quality food, which was very reasonably priced. If you are in the Ely area I would recommend checking this place out.

Stopped off for a drink here after walking in the area, large outdoor seating along the side of the water. Good selection of drinks available.

Always a great stop, whether just for a drink, light bite or dinner.

We had a lovely night away. The service was second to none and nothing was too much for the staff. The room was modern, clean and had everything you would need or want. We had an evening meal, which was well portioned and we weren’t made to feel that there was any rush to move onto the next part of the meal. The same experience at breakfast a nice range of food and plenty to fill you up for the day ahead. We will definitely be telling family and friends about this little gem and will be back for sure.

Rooms: Good size.
Nice bed.
Water and tea and coffee facilities provided.
Large open shower and good side bathroom.
Very comfortable.

Safety: As a solo female, I felt very safe. The windows don’t have a flat roof beneath them so you can leave them open. The door lock is really solid too.
